Steph Tisdell

is FAT

FAT: Unapologetically unpacking the F-word that’s always on everyone’s mind. This isn’t just a comedy show about weight; it’s a hilarious, honest and sometimes uncomfortable exploration of the absurdities surrounding body image, health and the complexities of living in a society that profits from our insecurities.

FAT is a show about finding your true self, even if that self is a little curvier than society says it should be. Expect laughs, gasps and maybe even a few moments of self-reflection.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Steph Tisdell is one of Australia’s brightest talents. An actor, comedian, writer and published author, Steph’s work spans screen, stage and page. Steph has flexed her acting talents in productions including Bump, Total Control, Class of ‘07 and the upcoming feature film The Deb. She recently co-hosted Great Australian Road Trips alongside Claudia Karvan, and has been on Australian television favorites like Spicks and Specks, The Project and Drunk History. Her stand-up has featured on The Melbourne International Comedy Festival for Oxfam – which she hosted in 2022 – and Comedy Up Late.

A proud Ydinji woman , Steph brings cultural integrity, lived experience and deep emotional insight to her stand-up. Her background in law and advocacy informs work that is bold, thoughtful and fiercely human. In 2024 she added ‘author’ to her resume with the release of her debut young adult novel The Skin I’m In.
