The Debate

Two teams, one moderator, one hour to prepare their arguments.

See some of the Festival’s finest comedians, along with fresh local faces, go head-to-head in The Debate, a good old-fashioned argument with a bit of mudslinging, a fair amount of silliness, and absolutely no prizes for the winning team. This year our teams will be debating:

“Brisbane or Bris-bin: is this city the peak of perfection or the pit of disappointment?”

Featuring local legend Natalie Bochenski (Act React) as MC and  Brisbane favourites Craig Quartermaine and Sophie Bannister as rival team captains who will be joined by  Simon Taylor, Chris Martin, Chiara Stegert and Bianca Cordez (notaboysclub)

The Debate is Brisbane Comedy Festival’s annual fundraising event for New Farm Neighbourhood Centre.
