Dan Rath
Tropical Depression
I can’t focus. I don’t know if it’s microplastics, long COVID or because I pay $500 a week to live in a mould experiment.
This year
– I went to a rally dressed as Boba Fett and was bashed by both police and protestors
– I formed a parasocial relationship with a Doordash chatbot
– I lost all my crpyto trying to buy a mermaid skeleton

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Dan Rath has enough parking ticket debt to cripple a small European country and he has watched his car get cubed by the government. He has been disrespected by his colleagues and is bruised and battered with nothing to lose. His low status means he has heightened cortisol production and is not equipped to take a gentle ribbing. He has a diverse set of interests including prime numbers.
Dan’s 2023 solo show All Quiet Carriage Along the Inner West Line won the Piece of Wood Award at Melbourne International Comedy Festival (best show as voted by a committee of fellow comedians and past winners).
In March 2024, Dan’s special I’m Not Doing Well Folks was released by 800 Pound Gorilla, and has amassed over 100k views on YouTube to date.
He is the co-host of cult-hit comedy podcast Neurotic News, alongside Damien Power.
