“Hi there, Daniel here, the above paragraph is true, I am coming back to Brisbane Powerhouse in 2026 with a brand-new show. If you haven’t already made plans between the 14th and 17th of May, perhaps I could interest you in a night out at my comedy show? It’ll go for about an hour, and be held in a nice venue. I’ll do all the talking. All you need to do is sit there and watch, pretty sweet.
Here’s the things you’d need to organise on your end:
- Ask a friend or multiple friends if they’re keen to see some comedy. (Talk me up if they’re on the fence. Not too much though)
- Book ticket/s
- If needed, organise a babysitter. You’re probably looking at 6:30pm on the 14th, 15th, 5:00pm OR 6:30pm on the 16th, and 5:30pm on the 17th. (Or send them for a sleepover if you’re getting loose)
- See who wants to grab dinner before/or after the show. (I’d eat before personally, then you can piss on post show)
- See if anyone wants to drive you in? Or get the train/an Uber
- Get to the venue early
- Sit down
- Phone on silent
- Jacket off. (the rooms can get a bit warm)

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Daniel Connell is a master of understated charm and observational wit and is one of Australia’s best and busiest comedians. His charming and laid-back style puts audiences at ease instantly, allowing him to deliver killer punchlines they might not otherwise see coming. Known for his dry humour, warm presence, and sharp storytelling, he has become a staple of the Australian comedy circuit.

Daniel’s versatility extends to television where he has appeared on multiple TV shows including Have You Been Paying Attention?, The Project, Comedy Up Late, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala. There was even a cameo in the award-winning hit show Fisk!
Daniel has made a name for himself as a voice-over artist, most notably providing the voice for HBF Health Insurance’s “Quokka sh*t” campaign, which aired from 2020 to 2025.
In April, Daniel was awarded the 2025 Piece of Wood Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival for his hit show Box-Headed Manbaby. This accolade, known as the comics’ choice award, is selected by past recipients such as Claire Hooper, Lawrence Mooney and Tom Gleeson.
