Future Science Talks: Comedy Edition is debuting in Brisbane after sold out shows at the Sydney Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe!
15 scientists from Brisbane have partnered with comedians to infuse humour and laughs into scientific talks. Laugh and learn at the same time!
At each show, you’ll be hearing from Brisbane’s best and brightest young and emerging science professionals. Each talk is on a unique topic. No two talks are the same!
Topics include: psychedelic therapies, manufactured meat, neuroscience, climate change, animals and more!
A full list of speakers will be announced closer to the show dates.
PLEASE NOTE
There is a full lockout for this performance and latecomers will not be permitted.
Infants 12 months and under on the knee permitted.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Future Science Talks: Comedy Edition involves local scientists and researchers partnering with comedians for a few months before a season. The scientists work with the comedians to jazz up a science talk, infusing it with comedy.
The scientists are from a wide range of industries and organisations. Each show features five scientists, with a total of 15 scientists across all three shows.
This show is a joint collaboration between Future Science Talks and the Sydney Comedy School.
