Lolly Bag

Hannah’s arrived to remount her wildly popular Lolly Bag — now making its Queensland debut.

This mixed bag of characters earned acclaim at 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, nominated for Most Outstanding Show and clinching the Pinder Prize; a ticket to Edinburgh Fringe. Following a sold-out, debut run in Scotland and topping it off with a season at London’s Soho Theatre, the bag’s finally arrived in Brisbane.

Much like milk fermenting into yoghurt on a long, hot journey, these sketches have matured from travelling and are now great for your health. Stick your hand in Lolly Bag – sweet, abundant, unpredictable, as Hannah plays for four nights only.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Hannah Camilleri is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the most enchanting character and sketch comedy performers in Naarm/Melbourne and a recent sojourn north saw her captivate audiences in the UK.

Her magnetic performances have attracted invitations to perform for 2024 Sydney Comedy Festival Gala, 2024 MICF’s AllStars Supershow (ABCiview) with Josh Glanc and 2023 Comedy Up Late (YouTube) all cementing her reputation as a sought-after comedic talent.

During lockdown, Hannah created web series, Little Shits, nominated for Best Short at the MWFF and screened at Sketch-up House Party Festival (NYC). Her versatility is further underscored by dramatic roles playing the lead in two MIFF shorts, Jeanette Is The Dog (2021), and Lime Parfait (2022), screened at BFI (UK) and Gozo Film Festival in Malta. Notably, she lent her voice to Sister Dimpna in Randy Feltface’s TV Special, Purple Privilege.

Whether gracing the stage, captivating audiences onscreen (The InBESTigators, Netflix), or engaging listeners on the airwaves (Triple R, YouTube Kids’ Micky Moo), it’s “…immediately clear that the Australian has got star quality,” The Guardian (UK).

"Deserves her own TV show immediately." ★★★★ The Age
