The Late Nite PowerPoint Comedy Showcase
Winner Best Variety Weekly Award 2025 – Adelaide Fringe
This cult classic returns to Brisbane Comedy Festival after sell-out seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe, the UK’s iconic Latitude Festival and Adelaide Fringe.
With six comedians performing six different PowerPoints, it’s a lineup show like no other.
Hosted by the agents of Microsoft Office chaos, Sweeney Preston & Ethan Cavanagh, this wild showcase is easy to follow and begging for technical difficulties.
A picture says a thousand words, and with more slides than Wet’n’Wild, The Late Nite PowerPoint Comedy Showcase offers more words per dollar than any other show in the Festival.
Grab your family, friends and anyone else who has endured boring work presentations or tedious uni slides as we heal together.
An essential part of any Festival bucket list!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
After bursting onto the comedy scene at 2022’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Late Nite PowerPoint Comedy Showcase has become a haven for nocturnal screen-based hell-raising.
Springboarding off the success of Zoom PowerPoint parties during lockdowns and viral presentations on TikTok and Instagram, Late Nite PowerPoint brings together all the elements of a great slideshow night, and lampoons all the features of a shit one. (*Ahem, your boss’ at work*).
Since day one, the show has been hosted by two of Melbourne’s fastest-rising and extravagantly overdressed comedians, Sweeney Preston & Ethan Cavanagh. Armed with nothing but some clickers, a dongle and a pair of laptops, these two agents of Microsoft Office chaos have now toured the show to 4 different countries, across 120+ performances, hosting over 300 comedians from every corner of the globe. At the core of the show’s philosophy is a simple premise: PowerPoint comedy is for everyone – including (read: especially) your dickhead boss.
